Hidden Beauty

Red Desert Flower Hiding in the Trees

Red Desert Flower Hiding in the Trees

There is beauty in many things in this world. Sometimes though you have to look more closely to see it and most of us when it comes to nature will walk right past it without even a glance. On a recent trip to Springs Preserve in Las Vegas with family and friends there was plenty of beautiful desert blooming flowers all around on the pathways and then there were some not on the pathways that you had to look a little deeper to see. That’s what this image is for me. A look at beauty not so easily found as this magnificent red desert flower peeks through the greenery of the trees.

As I go through life not only do I see many amazing and beautiful flowers, landscapes, seascapes, forest and wildlife, but I also notice the beauty in people. Making someone smile sometimes is all it takes to make the eyes sparkle, there own smile to grow into a more lively and vividly expressive face, but it also brings out the heart within the person. Take the time to say hello or just smile at someone and see how a sad or depressed expression can turn into a face of thankfulness that you even noticed to look or speak to him or her.

Life is full of challenges for all of us and some days we just don’t feel appreciated, accepted, wanted or loved. This one act will do more good for a person than you even realize. There have been countless stories told of people that thought no one noticed them or cared and they were only moments from eliminating themselves from this world. Learn to look outward at those around you and not so much as your phone and own problems. I know for myself when I focus on others it helps me to feel better because I took the time to give hope, share, be kind or even smile and that in itself helps me when I am feeling low.

Give it a try sometime and see how many people you can make smile. Spreading love to others should never be a chore but a pleasurable experience for all.

If this blog post was inspiring to you or could be to someone else you know, please forward it, or leave a comment below at how you try to show you care to others that are strangers to you. Have a blessed day!

Call Me Mo

Call Me Mo - A Rescued Cougar

Call Me Mo – A Rescued Cougar

This magnificent cougar named Milo, (I call him Mo for short), was hit by a car when he was only 7 months old with a fractured femur and pelvic injuries. While having surgery they found an abscess and possible infection. The wildlife sanctuary, Animal Ark, was called because this animal needed a home and a place to heal. More and more wildlife sanctuaries are finding they are being called for similar situations.

I was fortunate to visit this wildlife sanctuary that cares for many exotic animals and to photograph a few of these beautiful and magnificent creatures of God. Several had sad stories that had brought them to this place but these people give their lives to make better homes for the ones that can’t be put back into the wild.

Mo did not want his picture taken on the day I was there. In fact, he doesn’t like his picture taken most days I was told. So I photographed what Mo was willing to give me and show you a cat that enjoys his solitude, space and fresh air.

Education is key to inform your children and friends about how some of these animals end up in wildlife sanctuaries, such as Animal Ark. If you have a love of animals like I do here are a few ways you can help:

  • Adopt an animal – It costs approximately $120 a month to feed a cougar. Other animals such as a bear can cost $450 a month to feed.
  • Make a donation to a wildlife sanctuary – any dollar amount would help them feed these wonderful animals.
  • Donate time – if you live near a sanctuary and can’t donate money, offer additional hands to help in some manner.
  • Join a 5k Run – This brings awareness and funds to these sanctuaries.
  • Social media – write on your blog or other social media about sanctuaries near you of the animals they have helped and educate people that wild animals need to remain wild, not become pets.

With drought conditions in some areas of the country these animals venture closer to cities and towns in search of water and food. This is why they get hit by cars, end up injured or separated from there mothers and are left in a situation they are unfamiliar. If you encounter a wild animal please call the proper authorities to handle the situation so the animal will be safe and so will you.

Have a blessed day!

Welcome to Purrfect Images

Welcome to my site Purrfect Images. As you can see I’m still fixing the place up and getting my images loaded so they can be seen.

I hope with my images that you will feel inspired, at peace, joy and happiness, and overall just calm and relaxed when looking at them. I enjoy taking pictures of things that make me smile or give me a sense of calm and relaxation. There is far to much stress in our lives and I like to look at things that seem to take that stress away as much as possible.

My family and friends think my images are pretty good and that I should share them with others. With there support and belief I’m doing just that. I hope you will join my family and share in my images as well in the future.

God Bless and Enjoy!
